Frequently asked questions

Do I need a business entity to use JoPay?

No. You can sign up as an individual, freelancer, or sole trader. We don't require business incorporation documents for the basic tier, making it perfect for side gigs, creators, and independent contractors.

Does JoPay hold my funds?

No. JoPay is non-custodial software. When a customer pays, the funds go directly from their wallet to the wallet address you provided. We never touch, hold, or freeze your money.

Which networks do you support?

We currently support USDC on major low-cost networks like Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism, as well as Ethereum Mainnet. This ensures your customers pay minimal gas fees.

How do I handle taxes?

You can export all your transaction data as a CSV file from the merchant dashboard. This file contains dates, amounts, and transaction hashes, which you can give to your accountant or import into tax software.

Is it really free?

For Phase 1, yes. We do not charge any monthly fees or transaction percentages. The customer pays the blockchain network fee (gas), which is usually a few cents on modern networks.
